STEP UP AND HAVE YOUR SAY
Residents should get on their walking shoes for a public debate with a difference.
The ‘Walk the Romford Ring Road’ event will be a chance for all the family to take part in a guided walking tour as well as get them thinking and talking about how to improve two mile stretch around the Ring Road.
What if: projects have been commissioned by the Councils regeneration team to develop the “Greening the Romford Ring Road” masterplan and are looking at issues like accessibility for people on foot and in wheelchairs, ensuring the route is safer for children and at how to make the area nicer to live and travel to.
The event, on Saturday 21 March, is organised in partnership with Havering’s physical activity and walks coordinator to encourage as many local residents as possible to join in the walk.
We need to hear from local people about how they would improve the Romford Ring Road and this is the perfect way to air your views.
It all kicks off at 2pm outside the Town Hall, Romford. Refreshments are provided at the end.
